How to print large pattern pieces onto multiple pages using Adobe Illustrator :
I made a really quick tutorial on scanning your patterns into the computer, copying and pasting your scanned files into one artboard, and then printing multiple pages. I explain how to do all of this using Adobe Illustrator.
I had a few things I want to explain in more detail. For example I didn't explain fully the difference between "Full Page" and "Imageable Area". If you were to use the "Full Page" you will quickly find out when you print your pattern piece that the lines don't match up. This is do to the fact that Adobe Illustrator (AI) shows you the full page with the margens. The "Imageable Area" referese to the image itself. So AI takes out the margens and shows you how it will be printed on each page ... if that makes any sense.
2x2 inch square: I started by selecting the square tool and double clicking on the artboard area. Then I intered the size I wanted the square to be. I also changed the outline to be aligned along on the outside area [Window > Stroke > Align Stroke > Outside (the last icon in that row)]. This will give you a more accurate measurment of the square.
